Your privacy is the core architectural principle of TeleVault. We believe your files, chats, and personal data belong solely to you.

No Middleman Servers

We do not own or run any relay servers. All communication connects directly from your device to Telegram's official MTProto servers.

Encrypted Keystore

Credentials and tokens are encrypted in hardware-backed secure storage (Android Keystore) and never exposed in plaintext.

Privacy-First Design

TeleVault Pro is 100% ad-free. The Free version includes privacy-compliant ads with zero tracking of your vault or Telegram data.

Overview

TeleVault is designed to run entirely on your device. There is no company server sitting between your files and Telegram — the app talks directly to Telegram's own servers using its native MTProto protocol (TDLib), signed in as your own Telegram account.

Direct Protocol (TDLib): When you back up or sync files, data flows straight from your device's storage to Telegram cloud chats without any third-party intervention.

Information We Collect

TeleVault itself does not collect, transmit, or store your files, messages, or Telegram account details on any server we operate — because we don't operate one.

Your vault configuration (which folders sync to which chats, your schedule, your preferences) is kept only in a local database on your device.

Data Storage & Security

Your Telegram session and API credentials are encrypted and stored using your device's secure keystore (Android Keystore, via flutter_secure_storage) — never as plain text.

The backup ledger (file names, sizes, sync status) lives in a local SQLite database on your device. Files you back up are uploaded straight to the Telegram chat, group, or channel you choose, and from that point are governed by Telegram's own Privacy Policy .

Advertising & Analytics

TeleVault is available in two editions: TeleVault Free and TeleVault Pro. The handling of advertising depends on which edition you use:

Free Edition

TeleVault (Free)

To support ongoing development and maintenance, the free version includes third-party advertisements (such as Google AdMob).

  • Advertising networks may collect standard device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID or IP address) to display ads.
  • Zero Data Access: Ad networks have no access to your vault files, backup ledger, or Telegram credentials.
  • Ad interactions are governed by Google's Privacy Policy .
Pro Edition

TeleVault Pro (Paid)

TeleVault Pro is a premium, 100% ad-free experience designed for power users who prefer no ads.

  • Zero Advertisements: No ads are served in any part of the app.
  • Zero Ad SDKs: No third-party ad libraries are included in the Pro build.
  • Pure Utility: 100% clean, distraction-free environment.
Analytics Policy for Both Editions: We do not operate custom telemetry servers or run third-party behavioral tracking tools to record your personal activity, chat destinations, or file metadata.

Permissions We Request

TeleVault requests only the minimal set of operating system permissions strictly required for backup operations:

Storage / File Access

Required so the app can read the folders you choose to back up. Nothing is read or uploaded until you set up a vault.

Battery Optimization Exemption

Optional permission, requested so scheduled backups keep running reliably in the background when the screen is off.

Notification Access

Used to show real-time backup progress, upload summaries, and alerts while a background sync is running.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We have no access to your files, your Telegram account, or your vault setup — all of it stays on your device or moves directly to Telegram's own infrastructure under your account.

Children's Privacy

TeleVault is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will ship with the app and be available from Settings → About → Privacy Policy, as well as on this website.
